Federico Estrada, the owner of Julia’s Mesquite Mexican Grill, has set up a GoFundMe account to help pay the medical costs of his battle with cancer.
Estrada, a 38-year-old father of four young children, was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in November 2017. He revealed the news in a Facebook post on Monday.
Like many East Valley restaurant owners, he has no health insurance and is paying his medical expenses out of pocket.

Julia’s Mesquite Mexican Grill opened on the northwest corner of Arizona and Warner in Chandler in 2013, offering customized burritos, tacos, and burgers.
A second location opened on the southwest corner of Gilbert and Brown in Mesa in 2016.
