Creamistry, a California-based ice cream concept, has opened its fifth Arizona location – and first in the East Valley – in a newly constructed building it shares with the soon-to-open OHSO Brewery on the northeast corner of Gilbert and Vaughn in downtown Gilbert.
Customers customize their ice cream orders by choosing the type of base (including organic, non-dairy, vegan, and gluten-free options), then one of more than 60 flavors plus any toppings.
The mixture is then frozen with liquid nitrogen at minus-321 degrees, which creates an extra-creamy ice cream.
The Gilbert location officially will celebrate its grand opening with a series of specials next week:
- Tuesday, April 10-Thursday, April 12: Buy one ice cream, get one ice cream of equal or lesser value free.
- Friday, April 13: A percentage of the day’s proceeds will be donated to MASK (Mother’s Awareness on School-age Kids)
- Saturday, April 14: Free small ice cream from noon-2 p.m.
The Arizona franchisees are former Arizona Cardinals football player Andre Wadsworth and real estate expert Ryan Zeleznak. They launched the first Arizona location at the Scottsdale Waterfront in May 2016.
They’ve since added locations at Uptown Plaza in Phoenix, the Scottsdale Quarter, and Arcadia.
Creamistry Gilbert is open noon-10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and noon-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
