April 12: ‘Taste of Romeo’s’ dinner at Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert

Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner, hosted by chef Romeo Taus (pictured) and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 12.

The dinners typically feature five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu. This week’s selections:

  • Peppers Spanaki: Sweet colored bell pepper halved then stuffed with mozzarella, spinach and brown rice, baked with tomato sauce.
  • Ravioli Salad: Deep-fried cheese ravioli with black olives, bell peppers, tomatoes, Genoa salami, hearts of palm, peas, and red onions in mustard-vinaigrette dressing.
  • Chicken Ziti: Artichoke hearts, onions, chicken, and ziti noodles baked in creamy ricotta sauce and topped with provolone.
  • Sun Flower Beef: Steak strips, green onions, red peppers, Portobello mushrooms, sunflower seeds, and capers in teriyaki sauce over brown rice.
  • Intoxicated Love: Cake with dark chocolate, Grand Marnier, milk chocolate, and Kahlua, white and milk chocolate layers kissed by Jack Daniels.

Cost is $30 per person plus tax and tip. Add five wine tastes for $10. RSVP: 480-962-4224.
