Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner, hosted by chef Romeo Taus (pictured) and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 12.
The dinners typically feature five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu. This week’s selections:
- Peppers Spanaki: Sweet colored bell pepper halved then stuffed with mozzarella, spinach and brown rice, baked with tomato sauce.
- Ravioli Salad: Deep-fried cheese ravioli with black olives, bell peppers, tomatoes, Genoa salami, hearts of palm, peas, and red onions in mustard-vinaigrette dressing.
- Chicken Ziti: Artichoke hearts, onions, chicken, and ziti noodles baked in creamy ricotta sauce and topped with provolone.
- Sun Flower Beef: Steak strips, green onions, red peppers, Portobello mushrooms, sunflower seeds, and capers in teriyaki sauce over brown rice.
- Intoxicated Love: Cake with dark chocolate, Grand Marnier, milk chocolate, and Kahlua, white and milk chocolate layers kissed by Jack Daniels.
