At 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, The Hungry Monk in Chandler will tap a keg of Blueberry Milkshake Hazy IPA, created by OHSO Brewery in honor of Autism Awareness Month.
Mosiac hops, lactose (milk sugar), and more than 1,000 pounds of real blueberries went into the beer, whose blue hue represents the official color of Autism Month.
The New England-style IPA (6.5% ABV) then was conditioned with a hint of vanilla to give it an even smoother flavor.
The brewery is donating $1 per pint sold to the Southwestern Autism Research & Resource Center.
