April 19: ‘Taste of Romeo’s’ dinner at Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert

Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner, hosted by chef Romeo Taus (pictured) and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 19.

The dinners typically feature five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu. This week’s selections:

  • Venetian Roasted Peppers: Roasted red peppers, green chiles with garlic, EVOO, balsamic vinegar, herbs and spices. Served with an Italian roll.
  • Chef Salad: Turkey, ham, Swiss and provolone cheese, crisp bacon, artichokes heart, and olives on salad greens. With feta dressing.
  • Pasta Rustica: Mild Italian sausage and shrimp with zucchini, mushrooms, and sweet red peppers in basil-pesto cream with ziti.
  • Pork AgroDolce: Blackened pork tenderloin, smashed crispy potatoes, green beans, grape tomatoes, roasted garlic, balsamic, and fig agrogolce.
  • Chocolate Cheesecake

Cost is $30 per person plus tax and tip. Add five wine tastes for $10. RSVP: 480-962-4224.
