Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner, hosted by chef Romeo Taus (pictured) and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 19.
The dinners typically feature five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu. This week’s selections:
- Venetian Roasted Peppers: Roasted red peppers, green chiles with garlic, EVOO, balsamic vinegar, herbs and spices. Served with an Italian roll.
- Chef Salad: Turkey, ham, Swiss and provolone cheese, crisp bacon, artichokes heart, and olives on salad greens. With feta dressing.
- Pasta Rustica: Mild Italian sausage and shrimp with zucchini, mushrooms, and sweet red peppers in basil-pesto cream with ziti.
- Pork AgroDolce: Blackened pork tenderloin, smashed crispy potatoes, green beans, grape tomatoes, roasted garlic, balsamic, and fig agrogolce.
- Chocolate Cheesecake
