CreAsian Bar & Grill, a new locally owned concept that made its debut in January in Phoenix, has opened a second location in Tempe.
It takes over the former Moroccan Paradise stand-alone building on the north side of Apache, about halfway between Rural and McClintock, near the ASU campus.
CreAsian offers a variety of Asian-inspired dishes, including some unusual appetizers such as deep-fried quail ($6), Vietnamese chicken wings ($7), pork bun tacos (two for $5), and wild boar baby back ribs ($6).
The highlights of the menu are the CreAsian Skewers, featuring more than 20 different meats, including frog, rabbit, alligator, beaver, camel, and kangaroo.
There are four types of pho ($8-$10): sliced ribeye, shredded chicken, meatball, and the house special (ribeye, brisket, and meatballs).
Other options include five rice plates ($9-$10), three vermicelli noodle bowls ($10), and a couple of entree skillets ($14).
As a grand opening special, all menu items at the Tempe location are 15% off through April 30.
CreAsian Tempe is open 3 p.m.-midnight daily.
