Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner, hosted by chef Romeo Taus (pictured) and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 3.
The dinners typically feature five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu. This week’s selections:
- Vegeta Skins: Grilled hearts of palm, artichokes, onions, peppers, mushrooms, zucchini, Italian dressing, and provolone.
- Bleu Caesar Salad: Tomatoes, spring onions, red peppers and capers, tossed with bleu cheese, Italian dressing on romaine lettuce with homemade croutons and anchovies.
- Salmon La Scala: Grilled salmon filet with sautéed red peppers, capers, and pine nuts.
- Andalusian Baked Eggplant: Fennel sausage, roasted red peppers, pine nuts, spinach, red onions, scallions, and fresh garlic sauteed in olive oil and baked over eggplant with feta cheese.
- Fantasy Cake: Layers of cheesecake, chocolate mousse, and Devil’s Food cake finished with dark chocolate and ground pistachios.
