Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner, hosted by chef Romeo Taus (pictured) and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 24.
The dinners typically feature five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu. This week’s selections:
- Choripapa: Chorizo, poblano, and potato hash with an egg on top.
- Ravioli Salad: Deep-fried cheese ravioli with black olives, bell peppers, tomatoes, Genoa salami, hearts of palm, peas, and red onions in mustard-vinaigrette dressing.
- Garlic Chicken Pesto: Chicken breast sauteÌed with roasted garlic and pine nuts in basil pesto cream.
- Pork AgroDolce: Blackened pork tenderloin, smashed crispy potatoes, green beans, grape tomatoes, roasted garlic, balsamic, and fig agrogolce.
- Mocha Espresso Brownies: Rich chocolaty brownies spiked with Greek coffee, Kahlua, and walnuts.
