Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner, hosted by chef Romeo Taus (pictured) and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 7.
The dinners typically feature five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu. This week’s selections:
- Greka: Baked feta cheese with sautéed whole garlic, assorted olives, roasted red peppers, scallions, rosemary, and lemon peel with whole wheat pita chips.
- Tortellini Feta Salad: Cheese-filled tortellini, mushrooms, peas, peppers, black olives, cucumbers, and tomatoes tossed in
mustard vinaigrette with crumbled feta cheese. - Chicken Omega: Strips of grilled chicken with spinach, pine nuts, garlic and feta in a rich white wine cream.
- Milanesa: Lightly breaded pan-fried pork cutlets with garlic-horseradish mashed potatoes, roasted pepper and garlic jardinière, and lemon wedges.
- German’s Chocolate Brownies: Brownies with chocolate and pecans, topped with coconut.
