Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner, hosted by chef Romeo Taus (pictured) and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 14.
The dinners typically feature five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu. This week’s selections:
- Romeo’s Choice Skins: Italian sausage, onions, peppers, and mushrooms covered in melted provolone and served with yogurt dressing.
- Mandarin Dijon Chicken Salad: Grilled chicken, black olives, mandarin oranges, peas, carrots, water chestnuts, pecans, hearts of palm, and pineapple with honey Dijon dressing.
- Salmon de Provance: Salmon filet baked in parchment paper with pea pods, scallions, red peppers, asparagus, and onions in a caper-tomato clam sauce (pictured).
- Transylvania Chicken: Grilled chicken breast layered with roasted eggplant, roasted peppers, pine nuts, and chilled balsamic beans.
- Dangerous Dilemma: Fudgy dark chocolate cake with a white chocolate
cream layer and finished with a raspberry liqueur sauce.
Cost is $30 per person plus tax and tip. Add five wine tastes for $10. RSVP: 480-962-4224.
