June 19: ‘3rd Tuesday’ food & wine pairings at Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert

Romeo’s Euro Cafe in downtown Gilbert will host its monthly ‘‘3rd Tuesday’’dinner – featuring new food paired with some servers’ favorite wines – at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 19.

The three-course dinners feature three new dishes from chef Romeo Taus’ creative kitchen crew paired with three wines selected by the knowledgeable waitstaff:

  • 3 Tapas: Skordalia, ajvar, and jumari; roasted eggplant, fresh mozzarella, fresh basil, sweet & spicy pomodoro, and piquillo sauce; cannellini hummus and sausage lollipops. Paired with 2017 Chateau Ste. Michelle Rose, Columbia Valley, Wash.
  • Carne Blanca Wellington: Turkey tenderloin/caramelized onion-mushroom/grain mustard/peppered bacon in puff pastry, grilled asparagus, roasted corn/red peppers/black beans/jalapeno/avocado/cilantro-lime brown rice. Paired with 2013 Cuvaison Pinot Noir Carneros.
  • 3 Sin Chocolate: Chocolate cake with raspberry-Chambord topping. Paired with 2016 Borne of Fire Cabernet Sauvignon, Columbia Valley, Wash.
