Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner, hosted by chef Romeo Taus (pictured) and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 21.
The dinners typically feature five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu. This week’s selections:
- Mini Mozzarella Salad: Roasted red peppers, peas, artichoke hearts, and fresh mozzarella cheese in a pesto-Dijon vinaigrette.
- Janice’s Kale Salad: Shredded kale, carrots, red peppers, green onions, craisins, mushrooms, roasted almonds, and honey-Dijon dressing with herbed goat cheese fritter.
- Spicy Apricot Chicken: Blackened chicken breast, smashed crispy potatoes, zucchini, grape tomatoes, roasted garlic, balsamic Cipollini onions, and spicy apricot agrogolce.
- Sun Flower Beef: Steak strips, green onions, red peppers, Portobello mushrooms, sunflower seeds, and capers in teriyaki sauce over brown rice.
- 3 Sin Chocolate: Fudgy dark chocolate cake finished with a raspberry liqueur sauce.
Cost is $30 per person plus tax and tip. Add five wine tastes for $10. RSVP: 480-962-4224.
