June 21: ‘Taste of Romeo’s’ dinner at Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert

Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner, hosted by chef Romeo Taus (pictured) and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 21.

The dinners typically feature five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu. This week’s selections:

  • Mini Mozzarella Salad: Roasted red peppers, peas, artichoke hearts, and fresh mozzarella cheese in a pesto-Dijon vinaigrette.
  • Janice’s Kale Salad: Shredded kale, carrots, red peppers, green onions, craisins, mushrooms, roasted almonds, and honey-Dijon dressing with herbed goat cheese fritter.
  • Spicy Apricot Chicken: Blackened chicken breast, smashed crispy potatoes, zucchini, grape tomatoes, roasted garlic, balsamic Cipollini onions, and spicy apricot agrogolce.
  • Sun Flower Beef: Steak strips, green onions, red peppers, Portobello mushrooms, sunflower seeds, and capers in teriyaki sauce over brown rice.
  • 3 Sin Chocolate: Fudgy dark chocolate cake finished with a raspberry liqueur sauce.
