Sweetest Season Artisan Eatery, a full-service brunch and lunch restaurant, will open later this summer in the former Miele’s Italian restaurant space on the southeast corner of McClintock and Guadalupe in south Tempe.

If the name sounds familiar, it’s because the restaurant has the same owners – Tempe residents Todd and Melody Elkin (pictured) – as Sweetest Season Bakery Boutique.

The bakery, which debuted at farmers markets in 2014, opened its bricks-and-mortar location on the northeast corner of McClintock and Apache in north Tempe in December 2016.

‘‘Creative scratch recipes, fresh produce, artisan design, and a focus on crafted espresso beverages are the foundation of this New American restaurant,’’ Todd Elkin said of their newest venture.

‘‘The evolved concept will feature a fully expanded breakfast, brunch, lunch and cocktail menu. In addition, guests can expect the familiar handcrafted, house-made bread and confections they’ve come to love from our Bakery Boutique.’’

Look for the Artisan Eatery to open in late August.
