Romeo’s Euro Cafe in downtown Gilbert will host its monthly ‘‘3rd Tuesday’’dinner – featuring new food paired with some servers’ favorite wines – at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 17.
The three-course dinners feature three new dishes from chef Romeo Taus’ creative kitchen crew paired with three wines selected by the knowledgeable waitstaff:
- Porchetta-Panzanella Salad: With Persian cucumbers, grape tomatoes, red and green onions, red and yellow bell peppers, fresh basil, capers, marinated artichoke heart, toasted bread, Dijon vinaigrette, and sliced porchetta. Paired with 2013 Fontanafredda Briccotondo Arneis Piedmont, Italy.
- Pork & Cherries: Pork tenderloin, tart cherries and cherry sauce, herbed brown rice pilaf (parsley, rosemary, thyme), pickled fennel, and pickled various peppers. Paired with 2016 Imagery Estate Winery Pinot Noir Yolo County, Calif.
- 3 Layers: Triple mousse cake with Amarena cherry syrup topping. Paired with 2013 Cadaretta Syrah, Columbia Valley, Wash.
