Bonchon, a worldwide restaurant chain famous for its Korean-style chicken wings, will make its Arizona debut on the northwest corner of Kyrene and Elliot in south Tempe.
The fast-casual chain began in Busan, South Korea, in 2002 and came to America in 2006. It now has more than 200 locations in nine countries, including 63 in the U.S.
The chicken wings, drumsticks, and strips are fried twice to a thin-skinned crispness. Diners have a choice of a tangy soy-and-garlic sauce or a slow-burn, hot-pepper alternative.
In addition to award-winning chicken, Bonchon’s menu also offers a variety of Asian fusion dishes.
No opening date for the Tempe location has been announced yet, but it looks like it will be open by fall.
