Germany takes the spotlight at this month’s food and wine tasting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at JC’s Steakhouse in Gilbert.
The food-and-wine pairings:
- 1st course: Brie en Croute and a beef roll, paired with Schmitt Sohne Sweet Riesling
- 2nd course: Cabbage roll and sauerkraut puff, paired with Starling Castle Gewurtztrainer
- 3rd course: Jagerschnitzel, wirsing, and schwabische spätzle, paired with Schmitt Sohne Liebfraumilch (white blend)
- 4th course: Apple strudel and Black Forest cake, paired with Schmitt Sohne Cluhoein (sweet red)
