Parma Italian Roots, a new Italian concept focusing on high-quality seafood, flavorful herbs, and fresh vegetables, is coming to north Scottsdale this fall.

It’s taking over the former Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers space in the Grayhawk Plaza on the southeast corner of Scottsdale Road and Grayhawk Drive.

Up-and-coming Southern California chef Chris Gentile will head the kitchen, applying his Coastal California style to fine Italian cuisine.

“I can’t wait to call Scottsdale home,” Gentile says. “The city has already been amazingly welcoming, and I’ve loved getting to know the local food and beverage scene and everyone who makes it so special.”

Parma Italian Roots will hold a hiring fair from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, through Saturday, Aug. 25, for 40 front- and back-of-the-house positions.

An exact opening date has not been set.
