The Churchill, a small restaurants-and-retail complex built out of 19 corrugated metal shipping containers, will open Saturday, Sept. 1, on the northeast corner of First Street and Garfield in downtown Phoenix.
The 14,000-square-foot marketplace will have 12 vendors located around a 300-seat central courtyard. There also will be a second-story rooftop deck.
So far, 10 of the 12 vendors have been confirmed:
- Breadwinner: A new sandwich shop from the team behind Scottsdale’s Evo
- Pobrecito: A new cocktail bar from the team behind Counter Intuitive and UnderTow
- Provecho: A central Mexico food concept
- The Brill Line: A craft beer bar
- Freak Brothers Pizza: A food truck turned brick-and-mortar
- Foxy Fruit: A smoothies and acai bowls spot
- Sauvage: A wine shop
- State Forty Eight: A sports apparel shop
- Cosas:Â A boutique featuring the work of Mexican artists
- Gather:Â A housewares store
One previously announced tenant, Pedal Haus Brewery in downtown Tempe, has pulled out of the project.
