Adventurous Stills in Tempe introduces the fourth release of its quarterly Explorers Club series – a cask-aged version of its Fossil Creek whiskey – with a party from 1-8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18.
The whiskey (109.4 proof), which was aged in a cask for a year and a month with some extra staves, has a caramel nose and cherry notes up front.
Members of the distillery’s Explorers Club are guaranteed a bottle; the rest of the limited-release bottles will be available to the public until sold out.
Adventurous Stills will celebrate the release with $5 cocktails and $3 off all bottles (except Explorer bottles) all day Saturday.
The distillery is located just west of the Loop 101 between University and Rio Salado.
