Aug. 23: ‘Taste of Romeo’s’ dinner at Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert

Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23.

The dinners feature five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu. This week’s selections:

  • Greek Skins: Gyros meat and artichokes with feta and kasseri cheese.
  • Spicy Pollo Kale Salad: Shredded kale, corn, grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, and cannellini beans.
  • Ravioli Euro Paeus: Cheese ravioli, artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, asparagus, pepperoncini, basil and sunflower seeds in white wine feta cheese sauce.
  • Risi Bisi con Milanesa: Lightly breaded pan-fried pork cutlets, brown rice, black beans, peppadew peppers, hominy, onions, and peas cooked in chicken broth, parsley-cilantro salad, and lemon wedges.
  • Chocofran: Raspberry chocolate tart.

Cost is $30 per person plus tax and tip. Add five wine tastes for $10. RSVP: 480-962-4224.
