Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23.
The dinners feature five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu. This week’s selections:
- Greek Skins: Gyros meat and artichokes with feta and kasseri cheese.
- Spicy Pollo Kale Salad: Shredded kale, corn, grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, and cannellini beans.
- Ravioli Euro Paeus: Cheese ravioli, artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, asparagus, pepperoncini, basil and sunflower seeds in white wine feta cheese sauce.
- Risi Bisi con Milanesa: Lightly breaded pan-fried pork cutlets, brown rice, black beans, peppadew peppers, hominy, onions, and peas cooked in chicken broth, parsley-cilantro salad, and lemon wedges.
- Chocofran: Raspberry chocolate tart.
Cost is $30 per person plus tax and tip. Add five wine tastes for $10. RSVP: 480-962-4224.
