There were a couple of high-profile restaurant closures in Phoenix over the weekend.
Donavan’s Steak & Chop House, part of a California-based steakhouse group, announced it has closed its only Arizona location on the southwest corner of 32nd Street and Camelback after 14 years.
DeSoto Central Market, an adaptive-reuse project that housed several food counters under one roof (pictured), announced it has closed on the southeast corner of Central and Roosevelt after three years.
DeSoto’s announcement noted, ‘‘Don’t worry the building will remain and plans for the use of the space are in the works.’’
