Farmboy in south Chandler will host a reception-style tasting featuring beers from Flagstaff’s Mother Road Brewing at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6.
Three beers will be paired with hors d’oeuvres prepared with locally sourced grains, meats, cheeses, and vegetables by Farmboy chef Dennis Bagnasco.
The pairings:
- 1st course: Cucumber roll with roasted red bell pepper, goat cheese, pecans, and daikon radish greens (sourced from Crooked Sky Farms and Crow’s Dairy), paired with Mother Road Kolsch-style ale (4.3% ABV).
- 2nd course: Homemade sourdough pretzel with Tower Station beer sauce (sourced from Barrio Grains and Arizona Farms Cheddar), paired with Mother Road Daily Driver session IPA (4.8%).
- 3rd course: Cuban guajiro sandwich with uncured ham, adobo pulled pork, pepper jack cheese, sourdough slider roll, Dijon mustard, and relish (sourced from The Meat Shop, Arizona Farms Cheese, Mrs. Kleins Pickles, and Berry Bros Firewood). paired with Tower Station IPA (7.3%).
