The Sicilian Butcher, a recently introduced Italian concept known for craft meatballs, house-made pastas, and charcuterie, is coming to the Chandler Fashion Center.
The 4,600-square-foot restaurant will be located on the southwest corner of the 101 and Frye in the mall’s 25-acre Primegate development.
It’s part of the family-run Maggiore Group, which recently opened the hugely popular Hash Kitchen at the 101 and Ray in Chandler.
The Scottsdale-based restaurant group, headed by longtime Valley restaurateur Tomaso Maggiore and his son Joey, also owns Tomaso’s in Phoenix and Tomaso’s When in Rome in Scottsdale.
Conceived by Joey and his wife, Cristina, The Sicilian Butcher debuted in northeast Phoenix in December. Chandler will be its second location.
The menu allows diners to mix and match from a dozen types of meatballs, nine sauces, and eight kinds of pasta. A full bar offers all-day happy hour – $5 beers, $5 glasses of wine, and $8 specialty cocktails – every day.
The Chandler restaurant will include a marketplace – which will have a new build-your-own cannoli bar – and roll-up doors that will open onto large outdoor dining and lounge areas with art and water features.
The opening is planned for December.
