A Mini Mozzarella Salad (pictured) will be the starter when Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20.
The dinners feature five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu. This week’s selections:
- Mini Mozzarella Salad: Roasted red peppers, peas, artichoke hearts, and fresh mozzarella cheese in a pesto-Dijon vinaigrette.
- Spicy Pollo Kale Salad: Shredded kale, corn, grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, and cannellini beans.
- Kasseri Chicken: Sauteed chicken breast, pepperoncinis, kalamatas, roasted garlic, kasseri cheese, and black peppercorns layered with roasted red peppers in a marsala cream sauce.
- Ravioli Marco Polo: Cheese ravioli, meat sauce with Italian sausage, ricotta topped with mozzarella, and a touch of cinnamon.
- Mocha Espresso Brownies: Rich chocolaty brownies spiked with Greek coffee, Kahlua, and walnuts.
