Vasco De Gama and Pork Molise will be the featured entrees when Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4.
The dinners feature five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu. This week’s selections:
- Romeo’s Choice Skins: Italian sausage, onions, peppers, and mushrooms covered in melted provolone; served with yogurt dressing
- Broiled Chicken Salad: Grilled chicken tossed with artichokes, roasted red peppers, black olives, green onions, walnuts, lettuce greens, and a lemon-mustard sauce.
- Vasco De Gama: Sautéed chicken and gulf shrimp with carrots, mushrooms, green onions, sun-dried tomatoes, and whole black peppercorns in a creamy curry-mustard seed sauce with bow tie pasta and pistachios.
- Pork Molise: Grilled pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon, roasted garlic, horseradish mashed potatoes, honey caramelized onions, and apricot-cherry sauce.
- Kahlua Frangelico Cheesecake: Layers of creamy and rich chocolate cheesecake, hazelnut, and chocolate liqueurs finished with dark chocolate ganache.
