India’s Flame, a family-run restaurant specializing in the food of northern India, has opened on the southeast corner of Rural and the U.S. 60 in south Tempe.

Chef-owner Surinder Singh is a 30-year veteran of Indian restaurants in the United States. His previous restaurants include Guru Palace in Mesa.

India’s Flame offers nine tandoori specials, ranging from paneer tikka ($10.99) to lamb boti kebab ($15.99), as well as a complete tandoori dinner ($20.99 per person).

Also on the menu: masala, curry, saag, korma, vindaloo, achari, karahi, and do piaza dishes.

Chef specialties include the chicken tikka masala ($11.99), goat curry ($13.99), and lamb pasanda nawabi ($14.99).

India’s Flame offers a buffet for lunch ($8.99) and dinner ($11.99).

There also is a full bar.

India’s Flame is open 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and 5-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday-Sunday.
