Farmboy smokehouse restaurant and Grace Farms will join forces for Earth, Meat & Fire, a farm-to-table pop-up dinner, at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, at the south Chandler farm.
The reception and dinner will pair wines from Wilcox’s Deep Sky Vineyard with food courses from Farmboy chef Dennis Bagnasco.
All courses will feature locally sourced meats, cheeses, grains, and produce prepared using wood fire:
- Reception: Crow’s Dairy chevre and Barrio Grains whole-grain bread and crackers. Paired with Deep Sky 2015 Nebula Rose, Whiskey Del Bac Smokey Manhattan, and a local craft beer.
- 1st course: Tea-smoked Arizona duck, greens, duck broth, edible flowers, and heritage-grain sourdough roll. Paired with Deep Sky 2015 Supernova Mourvedre.
- Intermezzo: Pickled roots vegetables.
- 2nd course: Moroccan-spiced Arizona beef (chuck), wood-grilled steak, lettuce wrap, and sauteed Arizona greens. Paired with Deep Sky 2015 Eclipse Malbec-Grenache red blend.
- 3rd course: Dark chocolate chevre cheesecake, caramel, sea salt, and seasonal fruit. Paired with Deep Sky 2015 Big Bang Malbec.
