Salonika Chicken and Spicy Puttanesca (pictured) will be the featured entrees when Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18.
The dinners feature five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu. This week’s selections:
- Hungarian Mushrooms: Mushrooms caps broiled with garlic, lemon, butter, dill, spicy paprika, and crispy bacon.
- Antipasto Salad: Genoa salami, ham capicola, pepperoni, Swiss and provolone cheeses, and vegetables with Italian dressing.
- Salonika Chicken: Italian sausage, mushrooms, pepperoncini, garlic, capers, and pine nuts over a breast of chicken in orange brandy and white wine.
- Spicy Puttanesca: Grilled chicken breast and Italian sausage with sautéed black peppercorns, capers, pine nuts, kalamatas, scallions, and roasted garlic in basil-roasted and fresh tomato-anchovy sauce.
- Espresso Chocolate Macadamia Pudding
