McFate Brewing in Scottsdale releases its most popular seasonal beer – Candy Bar Milk Stout – today.
The milk stout – conditioned with honey-roasted peanuts, cacao nibs, whole vanilla beans, and sea salt – won a silver medal at the prestigious Great American Beer Festival in 2013, just two months after its debut.
For the second straight year, Candy Bar Milk Stout is available in cans. The 16-ounce cans are sold in four-packs for $18, the same price as last year, and full cases are $108.
The cans will go on sale at 11 a.m. at McFate’s main brewery (aka McFate South) in south Scottsdale. The beer will not be available on tap there.
At 3 p.m., it will be tapped at McFate’s Tap + Barrel (aka McFate North) and sell for $4 per pint. Unrestricted growler fills are $14, but the location’s license doesn’t allow it to sell cans.
In other words:
- McFate North: Only on tap
- McFate South: Only in cans
