Penne Carbonara and Sunflower Beef will be the featured entrees when Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1.
The dinners feature five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu. This week’s selections:
- Spicy Lamb Potatoes: Gyros meat and potatoes with herbs and spices. Hand-formed and deep fried.
- Chef Salad: Turkey, ham, Swiss and provolone cheese, crisp bacon, artichokes heart, and olives on salad greens. With feta dressing.
- Penne Carbonara: Ham and bacon sauteed with red and green bell peppers in creamy cheese sauce with penne pasta.
- Sunflower Beef: Steak strips, green onions, red peppers, Portobello mushrooms, sunflower seeds, and capers in teriyaki sauce over brown rice.
- Chocolate Blackberry Cheesecake: Rich chocolaty cheesecake with blackberry sauce.
