News out of downtown Chandler today: Christian Sciacca, the operating partner in Ghett’ Yo’ Taco, is teaming up with the guys behind b2 burgers & brews to expand his year-old taco concept.
Sciacca, who launched the urban taqueria that specializes in street-style tacos last September, remains the operating partner.
“We see tremendous opportunity to build the Ghett’ Yo’ Taco concept,†says Wally Ansari, owner of b-squared. “We enjoy the legacy and eclectic vibe that Ghett’ Yo’ has built in their first year of business, and look forward to continuing serving crave-able tacos and more.
‘‘As for the restaurant, it is business as usual,†Ansari says. “We truly respect and value the brand, not only as investors but fellow customers. Our commitment is to stay true to Ghett’ Yo’ Taco’s roots, remaining under the same name in addition to keeping all employees as part of the concept to ensure the integrity, food, and name they have built in the Chandler community.â€
In addition to the nine staple tacos on the menu, guests can look forward to an expanded grill menu, including burgers, fries, and a larger craft beer presence.
The biggest change guests can look forward to is no more line at the counter. Ghett’ Yo’ will be switching from counter service to table service, providing a more welcoming environment for guests. This also will open more space at the bar for the sought-after bar stools.
More additions coming soon include a patio makeover focused on updated landscaping and yard games, a Ghett’ Yo’ Taco cart providing free downtown delivery for area businesses and residents, and expanded hours, including a weekend late-night menu.
“I couldn’t be more excited to continue the momentum at Ghett’ Yo’ Taco and grow the concept,” Sciacca says. “There is a lot of exciting developments surrounding the restaurant with New Square and the Spike Lawrence project. An expanded and seasoned restaurant team only allows me the opportunity to grow.”
You can find Ghett’ Yo’ Taco, identifiable by the colorful, spray-painted Day of the Dead-themed mural by local artist Lalo Cota on the building, just south of The Perch Pub & Brewery.
