By Jess Harter Tuesday, December 18, 2018

Gyoza Bar, a Japanese restaurant specializing in gyoza and sushi, has opened on the southeast corner of Val Vista and Baseline in Gilbert.

It takes over the space that formerly was home to breakfast eatery JP Pancake, which closed in June after eight years.

Most of the standard sushi rolls are $4.95-$5.95. Specialty rolls are $13.95-$17.95.

Other menu options range from Hawaiian ahi poke ($16.95) to tonkatsu (pork cutlet, $9.95) to liangpi (cold skin noodles, $7.95).

Lunch hours are 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. Dinner hours are 4:30-9 p.m. daily.
