Tryst Café, an all-day restaurant focused on natural and organic ingredients, has opened next to Sprouts on the southeast corner of Gilbert and Ocotillo in south Chandler.
It’s the second location for Tryst, which debuted at Desert Ridge in northeast Phoenix in 2010.
Tryst is best known for its breakfasts, which are served until 2:30 p.m.
The breakfast menu offers plenty of traditional items, such as buttermilk pancakes ($8.79), meat lover’s omelets ($12), steak and eggs ($15), and breakfast burritos ($12).
But there also are banana quinoa pancakes ($11.29), strawberry custard French toast ($13), falafel and eggs ($11.59), and breakfast nachos ($10.29).
The lunch menu consists of assorted appetizers, 10 salads ($11.29-$15.50), seven burgers ($11.99-$16), and 12 sandwiches ($10.29-$15).
The dinner menu has a half-dozen entrees – including Roasted Curry Cauliflower ($15), roasted cauliflower over chickpeas simmered in a creamy coconut curry sauce topped with a citrus arugula salad – and several burgers and sandwiches.
Happy hour is 3-6 p.m. daily and includes $5 small bites, $3-4 domestic beers, $5 house wines, and $5 martinis.
Tryst Cafe is open 7 a.m.-9 p.m. daily.
