ComicX, a Mexico-based chain of comic book-themed restaurants, will open its first U.S. location this summer at Desert Ridge Marketplace in northeast Phoenix.
The family-friendly restaurant, bar, and store will occupy an 8,000 square-foot space between Sweet Tomatoes and Majerle’s Sports Bar.
ComicX debuted in Hermosillo, Sonora, in 2010 and now operates 36 locations in Mexico.
Despite its origin, the restaurant serves a menu of burgers, pizza, pasta, and other entrees.
It has a full bar, arcade games, and a store that sells comic book collectibles.
