Now open: Wild game restaurant Wild Elk Den in Chandler

Wild Elk Den, a mom-and-pop restaurant specializing in wild game meats, has opened on the southwest corner of Arizona and Warner in Chandler.

It takes over a former patio furniture store in a building behind (east) of popular Hoosiers Cafe.

It’s the first bricks-and-mortar restaurant for the owners of the Food Diva food truck, which has been operating since 2014.

Wild Elk’s menu features items made with venison, elk, buffalo, wild boar, antelope, rabbit, duck, goose, quail, and other wild game.

The menu also offers salads and sandwiches for vegans and vegetarians.

The 2,500-square-foot space has seating for 59 people – all indoor – and a bar that serves beer and wine.

Wild Elk Den is open 4-10 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday, 4-11 p.m. Friday, 2-11 p.m. Saturday, and 4-10 p.m. Sunday.
