MXSW reader Mary Anne asks what I know about Sandbar Mexican Grill opening a location in Gilbert.
The popular nightlife hangout with locations in west Chandler and northeast Phoenix is opening a third location on the southwest corner of SanTan and Williams Fieldat SanTan Village.
It’s a new building being constructed just east of Panera Bread.
Sandbar is part Mexican cantina, part beach bar, and part sports bar. The dog-friendly patio typically is prime real estate.
The menu offers burritos, enchiladas, and 10 kinds of tacos, but also burgers and sandwiches. The bar has two dozen beers on tap.
According to a banner on the Gilbert location, a March opening is planned.
