PDQ, a Florida-based fast-food chain specializing in chicken tenders and chicken nuggets, opens its first East Valley location at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, on the southwest corner of Warner and Priest in south Tempe.
It’s located between Panera Bread and Tilted Kilt.
The first 50 people in line will receive a $50 gift card, a PDQ swag bag, and a free lunch.
Children 10 and under will not be counted toward the first 50 guests or be eligible for a gift card, but will receive a free kids meal if accompanied by an adult in the first 50.
Besides tenders and nuggets with a choice of eight house-made sauces, PDQ’s menu includes salads, sandwiches, sides, and milkshakes.
PDQ – which stands for ‘‘people dedicated to quality,’’ a slogan displayed on the restaurants’ walls – made its AZ debut in Paradise Valley in 2017.
PDQ Tempe will be open 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m. daily.
