Healthy fast-casual concept Cherish Farm Fresh Eatery opens in south Chandler

Cherish Farm Fresh Eatery, a new healthy fast-casual concept, will have a quiet soft opening at 11 a.m. today, then celebrate its official grand opening Monday, Feb.11, in the Downtown Ocotillo development in south Chandler.

The locally owned restaurant takes over the former Sauce Pizza & Wine on Queen Creek between Dobson and Price (map). It’s just west of Rock Lobster, Humble Pie, and The Living Room.

Cherish offers an all-day menu of what it calls ‘‘healthy’’ cuisine, including items for those on vegan, keto, or gluten-free diets.

Among the more interesting options from the open kitchen:

  • Breakfast bowl with Japanese eggplant, red quinoa, poached egg, ricotta, scallions, and tahini vinaigrette ($8);
  • Pink Lady salad with rainbow chard, butter lettuce, Pink Lady apples, pink grapefruit, strawberries, candied walnuts, Zinfandel goat cheese, and pomegranate vinaigrette ($9.75, pictured above);
  • Faux Ramen bowl with buckwheat, grilled bok choy, shiitake mushrooms, soft-boiled egg, purple radish, bean sprouts, scallions, and red miso broth ($8.75, shown below);
  • Roast turkey sandwich with slow-roasted turkey breast, butter lettuce, and cranberry-orange compote on walnut peasant bread ($10);
  • Cauliflower-crust pizza with pulled lamb, red onion, Kalamata olives, pistachios, Greek sauce, Grana Padano cheese, oregano, and EVOO ($15);
  • Squash casserole with spaghetti squash, confit cherry tomatoes, pickled purple potatoes, Tallegio cheese, garlic, and parsley ($13).

Drinks include cold-pressed juices, organic coffee, sodas, craft beers, wine, and cocktails.

The green-and-pink decor features a floral mural by local artist Mauriel Morejon on the entry wall. There’s an L-shaped patio on the west side of the restaurant.

Starting Monday, Cherish will be open 7 a.m.-9 p.m. daily.
