Spinato’s Pizzeria in northeast Tempe reopens at 11 a.m. today at its new, much larger location on Rio Salado Parkway just west of the Loop 101 (map).
The family-run pizzeria’s original industrial park location, about a block south and west, closed Feb. 3 after 33 years.
At 5,700 square feet, the new building, situated next to Tempe Marketplace, is triple the size of the original and able to seat 190.
With today’s reopening, Spinato’s also will roll out a new menu, logo, look, and feel. The pizzeria’s four other Valley locations will be similarly rebranded in the coming months.
New menu items include pasta, chicken wings, and house-made desserts. Unlike the original, the new location also will serve beer, wine, and spirits.
Hours are 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday-Saturday, and noon-8 p.m. Sunday.
