If you haven’t checked out Bella Gusto Urban Pizzeria in Chandler yet, here’s the perfect opportunity: The artisan pizzeria and Italian restaurant is celebrating its third anniversary with a week of specials:
- Today: Special muffuletta pizza and Italian ‘‘beignets’’ (zeppoles);
- Wednesday: Debut of Bella Gusto’s “Catch of the Day” clam pizza and salmon entrees;
- Thursday: Half-off bottles of wine;
- Friday: ‘‘Catch of the Day’’ clam pizza and salmon entrees again;
- Saturday: Anniversary party with $3 margherita and marinara pizzas and house breads (two per table, dine-in only), raffle prizes, swag, special wine pours, and more.
Chefs Matt Nobile and John Araujo (pictured) opened Bella Gusto on the southwest corner of Alma School and Warner in 2016.
Nobile worked in Las Vegas under celeb chefs Bobby Flay and Mario Batali before becoming senior sous chef for the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys.
Araujo was a banquet chef for the Cowboys. He also was the chef and kitchen manager for Cane Rosso, voted the best pizzeria in Dallas.
