Nando’s Mexican Cafe, a locally owned chain of Sonoran-style Mexican restaurants, has opened its fourth East Valley location on the northwest corner of Ellsworth Road and Victoria Lane in Queen Creek.
It’s a newly constructed building just north of the Queen Creek Library and Communiversity at Queen Creek.
Nando’s, named for founding partner Fernando “Nandoâ€Â Rios, debuted in Gilbert in 2003. Rios and Tim Shaughnessy added locations in Mesa in 2009 and Chandler in 2012.
The lunch-dinner menu is anchored by 10 combo platters ($12.75-$14.75).
House specialties include Sonoran Enchiladas ($13.75), Alfredo’s Green Chile Pork ($12.75), the popular Pollo Rico burro ($13.50), and the Mexican-Italian hybrid Faja Pasta ($13.75).
Lunch specials are $8.95-$9.95, and breakfast is served on weekends.
Nando’s Queen Creek is open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday, 7:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday, and 7:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday.
