D-Backs’ new food lineup: Breakfast dogs, chicken & doughnuts, fry bread tacos

With the Arizona Diamondbacks’ season starting this week, the baseball team rolled out its annual list of new concession stand creations.

Topping this year’s roster of newcomers is a trio of heavy-hitting hot dogs, each of which will be available for just two months:

  • All Day Breakfast Dog (pictured): 18-inch hot dog with hash browns, gravy, cheese, bacon, fried eggs, hot sauce, and green onions ($30 in April-May);
  • Reuben Some Dirt On It Dog: 18-inch hot dog with Reuben mac and cheese, fried pickles, green onion, and secret sauce on a rye bun ($30 in June-July);
  • S.I. Cover Dog: 18-inch bratwurst with jalapeno-apple coleslaw, fried mac and cheese, barbecue aioli, beer pickles, and green onion on an onion bun ($30 in Augu.-Sept.).

Nine other new items, available all season, include:

  • Fry Bread Taco (pictured): Filled with carnitas, ranch beans, chile sauce, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream ($14);
  • Chicken & Donuts: Popcorn chicken with doughnut holes, powdered sugar, and maple syrup ($11);
  • Big Jalapeno Popper Dog: Foot-long hot dog with jalapeno cream cheese, bacon, fried jalapenos, and onions ($15);
  • American Cheese & Fries: Three slices of American cheese and fries on sourdough bread ($11).

The D-Backs open the season against the Dodgers in Los Angeles onThursday, March 28.

Their home opener at Chase Field is Friday, April 5, against the Boston Red Sox.
