Shu Sushi, a restaurant specializing in sushi but offering a range of Japanese dishes, has opened on the southeast corner of Rural and Chandler in west Chandler.
It takes over the strip-mall space that formerly housed Chinese restaurant Chef Chiang, which just closed.
Besides the namesake sushi, Shu Sushi offers donburi (rice bowls), udon and soba noodle dishes, ramen, katsu, teriyaki, tempura, and curry dishes.
Lunch specials include nine bento boxes (pictured, $11-$12), seven sushi plates ($10 with soup and salad), and three tempura and sushi combos ($12-$13 with salad, soup, and rice).
Shu Sushi is open 11 a.n.-2:30 p.m. and 4:30-9:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday, noon-10 p.m. Saturday, and noon-9 p.m. Sunday.
