Phoenix Ale Brewery Central Kitchen applies for license for Scottsdale location

By Jess Harter Tuesday, April 23, 2019

It looks like Phoenix Ale Brewery Central Kitchen is opening a second location in Scottsdale.

The gastropub, a partnership between Phoenix Ale Brewery (which doesn’t serve food) and former NYPD Pizza CEO Rich Stark, opened in uptown Phoenix in May 2016.

Now it’s applied for a liquor license for a location next to Butters Pancakes & Cafe on Hayden, just north of Via de Ventura, in north Scottsdale.

The highlights of Central Kitchen’s menu are the unusual Black Iron Pizzas, thin-crust square pies baked in black iron pans. There are seven specialty pizzas, or you can build your own.

Burgers, sandwiches, salads, and dinner entrees also are available.
