Mrs. Chicken, the Valley’s second Nashville hot chicken eatery to debut this year, has opened on the east side of 32nd Street just south of Indian School (map) in Phoenix.
If you’ve never tried it, Nashville hot chicken is marinated in seasonings, fried, and then coated with a spicy cayenne pepper sauce. It’s typically served on white bread with pickle chips.
Mrs. Chicken owner George Frasher, best-known for his Frasher’s Smokehouse in Phoenix, announced plans to open the Valley’s first hot chicken joint about a year ago.
Lo-Lo’s Chicken & Waffles owner Larry White grabbed that honor in February, however, opening Monroe’s Hot Chicken on the southwest corner of Central and Jefferson in downtown Phoenix.
