East Coast-style bagel shop & cafe Schmear opens in Queen Creek

By Jess Harter Thursday, May 9, 2019

Schmear, Queen Creek’s first bagel shop, has opened on the northwest corner of Ellsworth and Victoria Lane, just north of the Communiversity and the public library.

Bagels come in 13 varieties: Plain, sesame, poppy, garlic, salt, onion, everything egg, cinnamon raisin, blueberry, chocolate chip, jalapeno, pumpernickel, and special.

The family-owned shop offers several unusual flavors of cream cheese, such as pistachio date, Old Fashioned (cherry-bourbon), celebration (cake batter), and caviar.

The menu also features sandwiches, bagel dogs, and sides.

Coffee is sourced from downtown Chandler’s Peixoto Coffee.

Schmear is open 6 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Friday and 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday-Sunday.
