Pita University, which describes itself as a ‘‘Chipotle-style Mediterranean fusion bistro,’’ has opened on the southeast corner of Rural and University in Tempe.
It takes over the standalone building most recently occupied by Flaming Kabob, which closed last fall.
Pita University’s menu offers salads ($7.99-$9.99), pita wraps ($8.99), subs ($9.99), bowls ($9.99-$10.99), and smoothies.
There’s also a Detroit-themed Town Steak Sub, also available as a wrap, with ribeye steak, lettuce, grilled peppers and onions, and mayo.
Hours are 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday-Wednesday, 11 a.m.-2 a.m. Thursday-Saturday, and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday.
