Soon-to-open LazyG Brewhouse in Prescott hires California brewer

By Jess Harter Tuesday, May 14, 2019

LazyG Brewhouse, a brewpub scheduled to open in Prescott in July, has hired Travis Smith to head its brewing operations.

Smith (pictured) is a co-founder and brewmaster of Societe Brewing in San Diego. His resume also includes stints at Russian River and The Bruery.

LazyG will be located in historic downtown Prescott, nestled along Granite Creek on the site of the former LazyG Trailer Park.

Under Smith’s direction, the 10-barrel brewhouse will produce a variety of styles and also offer other Arizona craft beers, ciders, mead, and wines.

The food menu will include salads, sandwiches, and burgers.

The 5,000-square-foot venue will feature an outdoor area dubbed ‘The Park’’ with firepits, games, and picnic tables.
