Scottsdale-based Fate Brewing opened its third East Valley location Wednesday on the south side of Southern just east of Mill in Tempe.
The launch caps a hectic couple of weeks in which the brewery regained the rights to its original name and saw the departure, many say forced, of founder Steve McFate.
The Tempe location consists of a 6,000-square-foot brewpub, an indoor/outdoor wrap-around bar, a 2,500-square-foot beer garden, and a dog-friendly patio with two fire pits and lawn games.
The lunch and dinner menu offers 6-ounce smashed burgers, 12-inch pizzas, sandwiches, tacos, and more. Brunch is served on Sundays.
The 15 Fate beers on tap include Fateful IPA, Fatality IPA, Timeless Smoked Lager, and Buena Vista Blonde. Happy hour specials include $4 pints and $5 wines until 6 p.m. weekdays.
Hours are 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m.-midnight Friday-Saturday.
An official grand opening party is planned for May 29.
