Opening of The Sicilian Butcher in Chandler pushed back – again

It figures. A week after including The Sicilian Butcher among 10 East Valley restaurant openings to look forward to this summer, the restaurant’s much-anticipated second location in Chandler has been delayed – again.

The popular Italian concept, which offers craft meatballs, house-made pastas, and charcuterie, originally was scheduled to open on the southwest corner of the 101 and Frye in December.

The opening was pushed back to March, when a new sibling concept, The Sicilian Baker, an Italian bakery and build-your-own cannoli bar, was unveiled. It will open next door to The Sicilian Butcher.

The openings then were pushed back to July. Now, MXSW has learned it will open this fall – at the earliest.

In the meantime, the family-run Maggiore Group is opening the fourth location of another of its concepts, Hash Kitchen, on the southwest corner of 44th Street and Indian School in Arcadia today.

Hash Kitchen’s third location opened on the southeast corner of the Loop 101 and Ray in Chandler in July 2018.
